Our extra-curricular highlights
Public Speaking
Public speaking is a valued part of learning at Waterfall Public School, giving students the confidence to share their ideas and express themselves clearly. From early years onwards, students are encouraged to develop their speaking and presentation skills through class activities and school competitions. Many of our students go on to represent Waterfall PS at network and regional finals, proudly showcasing their communication skills and creativity.
Creative and performing arts
At Waterfall Public School, creativity is celebrated and nurtured through a rich variety of visual and performing arts opportunities. Students explore music, drama, and visual arts in the classroom and have the chance to showcase their talents in whole-school performances, exhibitions, and special events. These experiences build confidence, self-expression, and teamwork, while allowing students to shine and share their creativity with the wider community.
Trips and excursions
Excursions at Waterfall Public School enrich learning by bringing the curriculum to life beyond the classroom. From local library visits and cultural centres to museums, theatres, and environmental education programs, students engage in hands-on experiences that deepen their understanding and spark curiosity. These opportunities not only support academic learning but also build independence, social skills, and a sense of connection to the wider world.
PSSA
Waterfall Public School is proud to be part of the Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA), giving students the opportunity to participate in competitive sport with other local schools. PSSA helps students develop teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience while building their skills across a variety of sports. Representing our school in PSSA is a highlight for many students, fostering pride in achievement and a strong sense of school spirit.
